How To Completely Uninstall Schema Package and It’s All Data From Your Website

If you ever decide to remove the Schema Package plugin from your website and want to ensure all associated data is also deleted, follow the steps below carefully. This guide will walk you through the process to completely uninstall the plugin and erase everything it added to your site.

Step-by-Step Instructions

✅ Step 1: Navigate to the Delete Data on Uninstall Option

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Go to:
    Schema Package → Settings → Tools
  3. Find the option labeled:
    “Delete Data on Uninstall”

  4. Check the box to enable this option.
    This setting ensures all data related to the Schema Package will be deleted when the plugin is uninstalled.

⚠️ Important: If this option is not enabled, uninstalling the plugin will remove only the plugin files, but your saved schema types, settings, and custom data will remain in the database.

✅ Step 2: Uninstall the Plugin

Once the “Delete Data on Uninstall” option is enabled:

  1. Go to:
    Plugins → Installed Plugins
  2. Find Schema Package in the list.
  3. Click “Deactivate”, then click “Delete”.

✅ What Data Will Be Deleted?

When the above option is enabled and the plugin is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

  • All global and individual post/page schema configurations
  • Custom schema entries added via the Schema Package Generator
  • Plugin settings and preferences
  • Database options, custom post types, and meta fields created by Schema Package

❗ What If I Forgot to Enable “Delete Data on Uninstall”?

If you’ve already uninstalled the plugin without enabling the setting, the plugin files are removed, but its data may still be present in your database.

To remove leftover data manually:

  • Reinstall and activate Schema Package temporarily.
  • Go to Schema Package → Settings → Tools and enable “Delete Data on Uninstall”.
  • Then uninstall the plugin again using the steps above.

Final Notes

  • This process is irreversible — once data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
  • Always consider taking a full database backup before making changes or uninstalling plugins, especially when removing data.
